A TEENAGER was due to appear at court today charged with making malicious communications at a mosque.
John Thursting, 18, of The Green, Tendring, has been charged with malicious communications following reports of threats being made to members of a mosque in Colchester.
Police were called by Colchester Jamiah Mosque, in Priory Street, at around 2.45pm on Saturday after they received a threatening phone call.
Thursting was arrested the following day.
He was subsequently charged and is due to appear at Chelmsford Magistrates’ Court today.
