What an utterly obnoxious character Jamie Legg of Great Notley is (Letters, March 6).

Does he express his half-baked opinions to deliberately incense readers, or for a laugh perhaps, or does he actually believe he is right and everyone else is an idiot?

Those good hearted folk, whose only aim is to try to persuade the obstinate bloody-minded like Mr Legg to simply observe the rules of the road, must despair at such belligerent attitude.

After all, they’re not doing what they do for their own good health, but because the roads, and indeed society itself, are full of arrogant individuals like him who think they have the right to do exactly as they please without consequence.
