BUILDINGS at Essex University have now reopened after a bomb scare.
Police and MOD bomb disposal experts were called to the the Colchester campus after reports of a suspicous package on Wednesday afternoon.
All timetabled teaching events have been cancelled and want students and staff to leave the site.
But now all buildings have been confirmed as reopened with staff able to access offices and their belongings.
All buildings at our Colchester Campus are now open. If you’ve already made your way home, we’ll see you back on Campus tomorrow. If not, you should now be able to access your offices and your belongings. All teaching events remain cancelled for today.

A spokesman for Essex Police said: "Following an investigation we have established that the package posed no risk to the public.
"We thank you for your support and patience as we managed this incident."
