ARMED police arrested a man in Southend high street in connection with a shooting at Barking station.
The suspect who was on top of the old Topshop store's roof, next to JD Sports, in Southend high street, appeared to be his underpants, holding his hands up as police aimed their weapons at him.
A spokesman for British Transport Police, said: "A man has been arrested in connection with the investigation into a shooting at Barking Station on the evening of Wednesday 20 February 2019.
"At approximately 4.30pm today (Saturday, February 23), British Transport Police officers, together with colleagues from Essex Police, arrested a 25 year old man in the High Street, Southend.
"If you have any information concerning this incident and haven’t yet spoken with police, contact BTP by calling 0800 40 50 40 or by sending a text to 61016 or quoting reference 685 of 20/02/19. Or you can ring Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111."
