A MAN has been arrested on suspicion of armed robbery following an incident in St Osyth.

Police arrested a man from Surrey after spotting a car believed to be linked to the crime.

The 46-year-old was parked outside a pub in St John's Road, Clacton, yesterday afternoon, February 11.

When he left the pub police followed the car and pulled it to a stop.

A police spokesman said: "We arrested the driver on suspicion of possession of firearms offences and robbery.

"He has been released on bail until March 6."

It follows an incident at Martin's Farm Country Park in St Osyth on February 10, where a man alleged he was threatened and had cash stolen - it was less than £100.

A 24-year-old woman from Enfield arrested on suspicion of robbery, possession of an offensive weapon and possession of cannabis with intent to supply, has also been released on bail until March 6.

A 26-year-old man from London will answer bail on the same day.

He was arrested on suspicion of possession of firearms offences, possession of cannabis with intent to supply, robbery, criminal damage to a vehicle and possession of an offensive weapon.
