TEENAGERS arrested as part of an investigation after a horrific crash have been released under investigation.

Police launched a probe after a Volkswagen Golf left the road and flipped over in Nayland Road, Great Horkesley, last Tuesday.

A 13-year-old boy was left with life threatening injuries and remains in hospital.

There were five other people in the car aged between 13 and 18 arrested on suspicion of causing serious injury by dangerous driving, driving whilst unfit through drink or drugs, failing to stop and failing to report a collision.

Two boys, aged 15 and 17, and an 18 year-old man were released under investigation shortly afterwards.

Two other boys aged 13 and 17 were also taken to hospital for treatment. They have also since been released under investigation.
