MENTAL health campaigner Steph Shilton has launched Mid and North East Essex Mind’s inaugural gala dinner which will feature a speech from her ex-football star husband.

Both Steph and Peter will be at the dinner being held this World Mental Health Day on October 10 with the jazz and blues singer giving a performance of her own.

Guests will be joined by some top football legends and celebrities at the three-course gala dinner, which promises to be a night of music and entertainment with a powerful message for mental wellbeing.

Mrs Shilton said: “I’m in my second year of service as a trustee and am so excited about the gala dinner, and overwhelmed by the huge response we’ve received.

"Mental Health is a subject close to so many people’s heart and there is such a need for support.

"I’m truly grateful to all the amazing singers, sporting legends, celebrities and MP Will Quince who are all kindly supporting the event.”
