Taxis in Colchester High Street
A NEW taxi rank could be created in Colchester.
North Hill has been suggested as a possible location for a new rank in the future when demand increases due to development across the borough.
The suggestion has been put forward to Colchester Council following a survey of taxi users at the end of 2018.
It found demand was currently being met by taxis. But the report also suggested enforcement should be considered at the current Head Street taxi rank.
Colchester Council’s licensing committee will discuss the proposals at its meeting at Colchester Town Hall on January 23 at 6pm.
