A WORLD-famous musical talent show is coming to Colchester this year.
The X Factor UK is responsible for discovering famous acts such as Little Mix, One Direction and James Arthur, and now the show will explore Colchester’s budding musical talent.
The audition team are back on the road and will be stopping at the Lion Walk Shopping Centre in Colchester on March 16, between 9am and 5.30pm.
The auditions are open to entrants over 16 and budding singers can either register at Lion Walk or turn up on the day.
Contestants can even audition from their phone by sending a video of themselves, family member or friend to The X Factor’s website or using the WhatsApp number 07733 222 927.
If the entrant’s musical talents impress the audition team, they could be invited to audition again in front of the X Factor judges.
Centre manager of Lion Walk Shopping Centre, Peter Scopes, said: “We’re really excited to welcome The X Factor back to Lion Walk and the region’s singing talent, this is their chance to show the rest of the UK that Colchester really does have The X Factor.”
