THIS selection of images from our archives show how Colchester is changing all the time.
From the construction which has taken place over the past few decades to the changes in the street signage and roads, these vintage photographs illustrate just how much.
This includes shops people will remember visiting as youngsters, such as A Owen Ward seen here.
But in some cases only the cars and fashions have changed with the scenery remaining the same.
Mersea Road and silhouetted views showing the distinctive outline of the Town Hall are among those scenes which have hardly changed.
