THIS baffling scene greeted residents on Boxing Day morning in Colchester.
It’s not known how the Audi car left Mersea Road and came to its landing spot - a BT cabinet.
The car had been cleared away later on in the afternoon.
Dave Harris, Labour councillor for the town’s Berechurch ward, was made aware by residents.
He said: “One resident said to me it happened at 4am and thought it was someone going too fast, another said it was someone who had a heart attack.
“There was a lot of people without internet for a while on Boxing Day afternoon.
“It is a sad thing for someone to lose their car like that and also makes you realise how much people rely on the internet.”
Essex Police said they did not have details of the incident logged.
