A SUPER slimmer has thrown out her blood pressure medication after losing more than 5st.

Marie Attrill had enough of lacking energy and struggling with her health.

She decided it was time to join Weight Watchers and it has changed her relationship with food and her life.

She has improved her health to the point of being able to come off her blood pressure medication.

Marie, 43, of Colchester, who weighed 16st 6lbs, said: “I was always tired and lacking in energy.

“I had problems with my knees and I was on medication to control my high blood pressure.”

Marie knew she had to make changes to her lifestyle, and at the Highwoods Weight Watchers Studio she learnt new healthy eating habits.

By using the well-known points system she was able to continue eating what she loves, just in sensible portions. She is now 10st 10lbs.

Marie said: “The Weight Watchers programme has been easy to follow as I can just eat normal food that suits me and my family.

“Staying on plan while eating out isn’t a problem, and I’ve made swaps from

white bread and pasta to brown.”

For Marie, her weight loss programme is not just about a number on a scale. As well as losing more than 5st, Marie says she has much more energy.

She said: “I love exercising and I no longer have trouble with my knee.

“The best thing is I’m no longer taking medication for my high blood pressure.”

Throughout her journey, Marie has been supported by her wellness coach, Tanya Benson.

Tanya said: “I am incredibly proud of Marie. It’s been lovely to watch her grow in confidence, and as she continues to attend my workshops, I will keep supporting and encouraging her to continue with the fantastic work she has done so far to ensure she will stay on track and take control of her goals for good.”

When asked what advice she would give to anybody else wanting to improve their health, Marie said: “Don’t delay, just do it.

“Stick to the WW programme and you won’t look back – you’ll have good days and bad days, but never give up.”
