STAFF at Colchester department store Fenwick will leave in January after they were made redundant.
Earlier this year the national retailer, which has a store in High Street, confirmed it had cut 408 jobs at its department stores across England.
Some staff at the High Street store will be leaving in January.
A spokeswoman said: “I can confirm that those redundancies that are happening over the next few weeks are as a result of the announcements earlier in the year - we had agreed staggered leave dates.”
At Fenwick’s flagship store in Newcastle, 119 were made redundant but it said it would be “creating centres of excellence for finance, HR, IT and legal” providing 120 jobs.
