FATHER Christmas took a break from his busy schedule to charm children at a garden centre.

Fillpots Garden Centre in Boxted hosted a fun-filled festive weekend.

Santa arrived with his two live reindeer and stayed for both Saturday and Sunday.

Youngsters were able to speak to the jolly man and his elves before they journeyed back to the North Pole to prepare for Christmas Day.

Children were able to enjoy face painting and there was free hot chocolate and mince pies for visitors.

The Boxted Methodist Silver Band attended on Sunday and played a range of Christmas tunes to get people into the festive spirit.

Visitors were also able to sample some festive treats in the café and shop for trees and decorations.

A spokesman said: “A wonderful Christmas weekend was had by all.”
