A COUPLE have started up a homemade bakery selling giant 12-inch customised cookies... just in time for Christmas.
K’s Cookies and Sweat Treats is a new small business in Moorcroft, Rochford, which aims to promote cookies over the more traditional favourite, cake, as the best celebration treat.
The bakery started after co-founder Kristina Drake, 26, was encouraged to turn her baking hobby into something bigger rather than saving it all for her close friends and family. After a chat with fiancé Michael Thirkettle, 27, the pair launched the business.
Miss Drake said: “There aren’t many people doing this in the area.
“It’s something different and quite exciting.”
