FIRE crews cut a casualty free from a car after a crash.
Two cars - one believed to be a taxi - were involved in a smash in Nayland Road, Colchester, close to the Dog and Pheasant pub at 8.45pm on Friday.
Staff from the pub and people who live nearby went to help the people who had been involved and alerted the emergency services.
Fire crews arrived and cut free one person from their car - believed to be a taxi driver.
Two people were then taken to hospital for treatment to their injuries but they are not thought to be life-threatening.
Fire crews were on the scene for just short of an hour and the road was closed while emergency services attended.
