LOVE Island star Chris Hughes has given his backing to a Colchester nightclub’s Christmas charity drive for children.
High Street venue ATIK is running the Give a Kid a Quid appeal to benefit children’s charities, asking revellers to donate spare change on their nights out.
The appeal is the brainchild of the Echo Trust, a charity set up in 2002 by The Deltic Group, an operator of late-night bars and clubs.
Since its inception, the charity has raised more than £2.5 million for good causes.
ATIK general manager Nick Jackson said: “Christmas is a time for giving and we’re sure our customers will respond generously to our appeal.
“Give a Kid a Quid is a simple way to raise a lot of money that will transform the lives of young people in our community.”
