THESE photographs from our archives show how much technology has moved in the past three decades.
They show lectures and lessons at Colchester Institute in the late 1980s and 1990s - complete with typewriting classes.
Those might be a thing of the past but the computer technology that would have been cutting edge at the time will certainly have moved on.
Colchester Institute started out as North East Essex Technical and now has campuses in Colchester and Braintree.
It includes the Colchester School of Art, Faculty of Creative Arts, the Centre for Hospitality and Food Studies, and the Professional Training Centre.
