POLICE are investigating after a man was threatened with what is believed to be a knife.
A number of police cars were seen in the Queen Street area of Colchester at lunchtime.
A spokeswoman for Essex Police said: "We were called to St Botolph's Street just after 1pm today following reports that a man had been threatened with what is believed to be a knife.
"Officers attended the scene and conducted a search for the man believed to have the weapon.
"We spoke to the victim, a man aged in his 40s, and he is unharmed.
"Our enquiries are ongoing."
