Ben Elton will be coming to Colchester's Charter Hall
A comedian will come to Colchester when he embarks on his first stand up tour in 15 years.
Ben Elton, who came to prominence with Channel 4’s Saturday Live in the 80s, will be hitting the road for a run of dates in 2019.
The 53 date tour kicks off in Dublin on September 27 and will visit Colchester’s Charter Hall on October 30.
As well as a stand up career he is also known for writing classic comedies such as Blackadder with Richard Curtis and for writing novels.
He said: “The last time I toured I was still smarter than my phone. Things have definitely taken a funny turn."
Tickets for the show go on sale on Monday, December 10.
