Skating industry leaders glided to Demon Xtreme’s Rollerworld in Colchester for a VIP event to discuss the potential of the rink now it has changed hands.
Rollerworld in East Gates, recently taken over by Demon Xtreme Sports having been run by Andy Starr for 28 years, is vying to become an iconic sporting venue hosting some of the UK and the world’s premier roller-skating events.

attended a VIP event on Sunday.
Jason Khan, founder of Demon Xtreme, said: “We have the most amazing world-leading facility right here in Colchester and we need to make the most of it.
“It’s great to be able to invite some of the biggest names in
roller-skating to showcase their talents and look at working together to bring some of the world’s leading skating events to our fantastic town for everyone to enjoy.”
Chris Fox, the 16-time British Skating Champion, said: “Rollerworld is an unbelievable venue that has everything it needs to be at the pinnacle of our sport.
“Skating has been great for me and I want more youngsters to embrace this wonderful sport.”
