POLICE are investigating after a man attempted to rob two women.
The victims aged 19 and 20 were walking across the bridge in Colne Causeway in the Hythe area of Colchester at 3.50am on Thursday when a man approached them.
He demanded phones and other property but the women told them they didn't have anything.
He then left the scene.
The man is described as black, 6ft tall, aged in his 20s, and of medium build. He wore black clothes including a hooded top, and his face was covered.
Police want to speak to anyone who saw anything or was driving in the area at the time and may have dashcam footage.
