RESIDENTS are being encouraged to wear red in memory of a man who died fighting cancer.
On December 10 it will be seven years since Robin Freeman, 24, from Wivenhoe, died - just ten months after being diagnosed with germ cell cancer.
Each year the Robin Cancer Trust encourages everyone to wear red in memory of Robin and all those lost to the disease.
Robin’s brother, founder and chief executive of the Robin Cancer Trust, Toby Freeman, said: “It’s incredible to think how far we’ve come in seven years - from the grief and pain of losing Rob, to setting up the Robin Cancer Trust in his memory, to seeing it grow into what it is today – a regional charity with an international reach.
“Over the years we have reached millions of people online, handed out awareness information to over a 100,000 people at events, delivered educational talks to over 10,000 students and most importantly saved lives.”

using the hashtag #RedForRobin.
Donations can also be made by texting ROBIN to 70300 which will donate £3.
