CHILDREN will soon be able to track Santa as he comes to Colchester.
Details of the anticipated Santa's sleigh, which is organised by the Colchester Round Table 367, have now been released.
For more than 25 years Santa's sleigh has been bringing festive spirit to the streets of Colchester.
The aim is to raise money for a number of local charities. This year, Colchester Round Table 367 has chosen to support Colchester Rough Sleepers Group, Beacon House, Night Shelter, Ladies Circle, Tom Bowdidge Foundation, St Helena Hospice, and The Rob George Foundation.
Several businesses are also sponsoring Santa's sleigh to help increase the amount of money raised.
Cyril Thomas, chairman of Colchester Round Table 367, said: “It's invigorating to see so many charities and businesses come together to bring some festive cheer to the town and raise funds for local charitable causes”.
This year, the Gazette will attempt to track Santa's sleigh and publish details of its position so children can see exactly where it is as it travels around Colchester.
