A KNIFE-WIELDING robber made off with a three figure sum of cash after raiding a shop.
Essex Police have launched an investigation after a man entered the Co-op, in Church Street, Bocking, at around 9.50pm yesterday.
Armed with a knife, he demanded money and snatched a cash box before fleeing in the direction of Church Lane.
A police spokesman said: "Officers searched the area for the suspect and enquiries are ongoing to find him."
The robber was described as about 6ft 1in tall, with blue eyes, wearing a baseball cap and a black tracksuit.
His face was covered and he carried a black bag with silver straps.
