How refreshing to see Tina McKay's interview. She is obviously engaged and energised by Jeremy Corbyn.
He is quite possibly the greatest Prime Minister-in-waiting we have had since Harold Wilson and Tony Blair.
By politicising young people for the first time in a generation, as exampled by Tina McKay, he has laid the foundation for a future Labour election victory.
Plainly Tina shares his values:
1. He is beholden to no-one;
2. He seeks peace over war and sees pragmatism over ideology as beneficial to all. This is not Thirties-style appeasement, but acknowledgement that people and groups bring and take different perspectives on issues;
3. His vision of Britain in the future is not built on empire-building, force, greed, or limited self-interest. It is rather one in which Britain leads the world in compassionate and respectful trading.
4. This is underpinned by a philosophy that does not leave anybody out of the equation:
a. A way of looking at the world that sees an injustice to one person is an injustice to us all;
b. A belief that we are all impoverished if we live alongside high numbers of the unemployed and the disadvantaged;
c. A knowledge that envy, hatred, crime and violence will flourish unless we give all people dignity, security and justice.
I too believe Jeremy Corbyn is the ideal man to lead us into the future, I, personally, am also engaged, energised and hopeful.
