A PROLIFIC thief has been jailed for 35 weeks after a stealing spree.
Within the space of a fortnight last month, Penny Boxall took two tubs of washing powder and tanning mousse, detergent, meat and drinks worth a total of £213.75 from a Co-op.
The 27-year-old also stole four gift sets from Boots worth £116 during the same spell.
Boxall, of Attlee Gardens, Colchester, admitted seven counts of theft at Colchester Magistrates' Court.
She was jailed because of her previous record and because she was still on licence at the time of the raids.
Boxall must also pay back compensation to the two stores.
