A TEENAGER has been charged after a shop worker was threatened with a knife.
Police were called after someone went into The Willows Newsagents in The Willows, Colchester, with the blade shortly before 2pm on Sunday.
Nothing was taken and the person left empty handed.
A 16 year-old boy was arrested and later charged with attempted robbery and possession of a knife in a public place.
He is due to appear at Chelmsford Magistrates’ Court today.
The boy cannot be named for legal reasons.
