I'VE been reading in the Gazette concerning Colchester Council employing a company to patrol our streets to try and combat littering and fining the litter bugs if caught.
Good on them.
Your last report in your paper suggests they have been fairly successful.
Why I write this is that as a nation we are very untidy litter wise.

I think this has been noticed in America. I was watching an American film concerning a middle aged couple with teenage kids.
They were in town shopping and their daughter dropped a sweet wrapping on the pavement.
Her father immediately told her: "You do not live in England, pick it up."
That would not have been mentioned without foundation.
