REALITY TV stars filmed part of their latest television series at Colchester United's Community Stadium.

At half time of Saturday's one nil victory over Swindon Town, which left the high-flying Us in third place in League Two, Love Island megastars Chris Hughes and Kem Cetinay kept the crowd entertained with a penalty shootout.

Against two of United's under 23 players, Eion McKeown and Chris Forino, the duo played out a penalty shootout, which was filmed as part of an episode of their You Vs Chris and Kem ITV2 show.

Both wore Colchester's camo-style shirt during the shootout and spent the whole day filming at the Jobserve Community Stadium.

Matt Hudson, press and communications officers at Colchester United, said: "As part of their show they get set a challenge to do, which in this case was to take part in a penalty shootout.

"The production company came to us a couple of weeks ago and we agreed to do it.

"It will be a good bit of publicity for the club and the demographic of the show is those we are trying to reach.

"Hopefully the publicity will help promote the club's foundation."

The duo hit fame during 2017's series of ITV2's whirlwind phenomenon series Love Island, where their bromance stole the show and also ironically proved to be one of the longest lasting relationships of the dating programme.

You Vs Chris and Kem sees the duo touring the UK in a specially designed “bro mobile”, facing off against members of the public in a string of outlandish challenges.

You can see the episode and find out how the boys got on during the second series of You Vs Chris and Kem on ITV2 in January.
