THIS is the Guy which will be paraded through thousands of people watching a spectacular firework display.
For the past 45 years, the symbolic Guy Fawkes has made by Judy Alden and husband, Bernard, and unveiled at the popular King Coel’s Kittens fireworks display, which takes place on Monday night in Castle Park.
Between 7,000 and 8,000 people are expected to attend.
This year’s them is Disney and the event will merge the spectacular fireworks with music from great Disney films through the years.
The guy will then be marched through the crowds before being placed on the fire when he is expected to burn for up to five minutes.
This year’s event will kick off at 7pm but entertainment will be laid on from 6pm.
Tickets cost £9.50 for adults and £4.50 for children and are available from Colchester Visitor Information Centre and the Mercury Theatre.
