The annual NSPCC book fair in Lexden has been, yet again, hailed a success.
The event ran across the whole weekend at Holmwood House School, had more than 18 hundred people turning up to show their support for the cause.
The book fair committee, who work almost all year round preparing the getting ready for the event, raised £22,500 for the children's charity selling books, games, jigsaws, CD's and DVD's.
Elisabeth Borg, the chairman of the bookfair committee, said: "It was very successful. We were a bit concerned about the weather on Sunday, but it didn't put people off.
"It's very much a lovely community event"
This year marks the 29th year the book fair committee have hosted the events, and plans are in preparation for a very special 30th anniversary of fundraising next year.
