Long delays after crash on A12
There has been a crash on the A12 near Hatfield Peverel.
The road is partially blocked Londonbound following a crash involving several cars.
It happened at about 2pm and there are long delays.
UPDATE 2.47PM: The A12 Londonbound is now CLOSED at Hatfield Peverel following the crash.
Three units from the ambulance hazardous area response team, two ambulances, a rapid response vehicle and an ambulance officer are at the scene.
The fire service was called at 1.33pm. Three fire engines attended from Chelmsford, Great Baddow and Witham but assistance was not needed.
There were four cars involved in the collision. One person has been left with ambulance service.
UPDATE 3.47PM: The road has now re-opened
