HUNDREDS of walkers joined an event to raise thousands of pounds for a hospice.
More than 200 people walked to raise funds for St Luke’s Hospice, Basildon.
It saw them walk from the hospice in Nethermayne, Basildon to the centre in Corringham and back.
The event raised more than £7,000 for the hospice.
Kerry Chambers, fundraiser at St Luke’s and event organiser said: “We were blessed with perfect walking weather and a fantastic group of supporters, who I cannot thank enough.
“This is the second year we held this event and many of those who entered last year encouraged others to join them at this year’s event.”
It was held on Sunday October 7.
