A MAN was stabbed in the face in an attack at Essex University.
The victim, in his 20s, was assaulted just after midnight last Wednesday, in an area of the university in Wivenhoe Park.
He suffered a three-inch wound to his face which needed stitches.
A spokesman for Essex Police said: "The area would have been very busy with students at the time and we need anyone who has any information to come forward."
Details have only just been released by Essex Police.
A spokesman for the University of Essex said: “We are helping police with their investigation into the incident on Wednesday 3 October.
"Our patrol officers cover our Colchester Campus 24 hours a day and work closely with Essex Police.”
