A PROLIFIC pant pincher has been jailed.
Jason Bestford took Calvin Klein boxer shorts worth more than £300 from Fenwick in Colchester High Street last month.
After being arrested ten days later he caused damage to a police cell.
Bestford, of no fixed abode, was given a six week prison sentence in August for stealing Armani pants from Debenhams, children's t-shirts from Fenwick, booze from Marks and Spencer and assaulting a police officer.
At Chelmsford Magistrates' Court, the 42-year old admitted the latest theft, criminal damage and breaching his suspended sentence order.
He was jailed for six months.
Bestford must pay compensation of £324 to Fenwick, £75 to Essex Police because of the damage to the cell and a victim surcharge of £115.
