SPORTY students have returned home after taking part in an action-packed tour of the Caribbean.

Girls’ cricket and netball players from Felsted School visited the island of Barbados to play new opposition in a very different climate.

The netball teams played ten matches against clubs and schools with all of the games taking place outside with the hot and humid conditions providing an extra challenge.

Meanwhile, the cricketers played four matches against the Barbadian women’s squad and one against an under 15s boys team from Trinidad and Tobago.

While on tour the pupils also enjoyed a safari, jet skiing and swimming with turtles, as well as experiencing the Harbour Lights performance.

Lucy Barrett, netball coach, said: "We were really proud of the girls’ sportsmanship throughout the tour; both winning honourably and losing graciously.

"They truly showed their Felsted values and were amazing ambassadors for the school."
