Three friends are celebrating after launching their new bespoke wedding business in Braintree.

Laura Celiz, Alexandra Bealey, and Magdalena Malasinska founded Rock the Day to offer couples a unique and tailored experience on their big day.

Last month the trio opened their new premises in the Lakes Road Industrial Estate, Braintree, which will act as the base from where they will offer wedding planning, styling and handmade prop creation for couples.

Mrs Celiz, who lives in Braintree, said: "Everything is handmade and bespoke.

"We are trying to get away from the Essex bling wedding style and we offer something a bit more personal to the bride and groom.

"I have worked in events for ten years but recently decided to go out on my own.

"We are sister company of Rock the Frock in Chelmsford.

"I was working from their for a while and brides were coming in and asking where they could find things like props - it has evolved from there."

The trio became friends after meeting at various weddings in the area, and Mrs Celiz feels each of them brings vital skills to the new business.

She said: "Alex and Magdalena specialise in the prop making and I do the wedding planning.

"We all work together to do the styling.

"We are a bit older and I think brides appreciate the fact we have a bit more life experience.

"Across Essex there are a lot more venues popping up and we are tasked with going there and creating something for the couples which suits their style.

"We are also available for them throughout the day."
