A classic car show featuring more than 120 vehicles raised £5,000 for a charity.

The event, organised by CL Classics, took place at the Braintree and Bocking Public Gardens in aid of the gardens’ trust.

Approximately 1,000 people came through the gates, helping to raise around £5,000 for the upkeep of the community facility.

Lisa Cameron, of CL Classics, said: “We had a wide variety from classic motorcycles and vintage and classic cars and even a few trucks.

“Live music throughout the day, free inflatables for the children, fancy dress, various food and drink outlets and a few market stalls thrown in for good measure made it a great family day out.

“We have already been asked if the show will be taking place next year, all I can say to that is keep an eye on the websites and facebook pages for both CL Classics and the Braintree and Bocking Public Gardens.”
