It’s the final weekend for this gem of a show and if you haven’t seen it yet, you really should. It’s jam packed with laughs, incredible musicianship, a colourful set and bags and bags of charm.

Packing Shed Theatre’s fourth show and second in the open air takes a modern-day look at the possible back story of the Three Witches in Macbeth with music, comedy and more than a little bit of magic.

3. Brightlingsea Food and Drink Festival, Promenade Way, Brightlingsea, 5pm to 10pm (tonight), 11am until 6pm (tomorrow) and 11am to 5pm (Sunday). Adults £2.50, children free.

Following last year’s very first festival, organisers are hoping for another tasty mix of food, drink and music.

One of the best, and very appropriate, shows to have taken place at what is rightly the home of Colchester’s vibrant art scene. Made-up of works by accomplished professionals, skilled amateurs and more than a few ‘ones to look out for’ this is a proper must see exhibition which hasn’t been on long enough.

More food and drink, with an emphasis on the drink bearing in mind the gorgeous location, this event is marked out with its proper cracking music festival type line-up courtesy of local promoters Pink Shed. Highlights include Robbie Gladwell and his band, and J S and the Lockerbillies.
