A MAN has been taken to hospital in a 'serious condition' following a crash in Colchester.
The Essex & Herts Air Ambulance help assist the ambulance service and Essex Police with a male patient during a 'medical emergency'.
Teams worked together on scene and the man was transferred to the Emergency Department for ongoing treatment.
The crash happened at the junction of Severalls Lane and Ipswich Road.
Drivers were being turned around and advised to avoid the area of Highwoods, Colchester, after the crash which happened at about 9am.

An air ambulance has also landed in the area.
