AN advocate for people with autism is chasing his dreams, having his photograph exhibited for £750.

Jordan Shults, or J Shu, has always been a keen photographer.

With the support of his mum, Vanessa, Jordan, 20, of Longridge, Colchester, has been proving his condition is no barrier to learning or doing what he loves.

One of his photographs, entitled 'What Am I?', is currently part of the Colchester Art Society & The Minories Galleries joint summer open exhibition.

More than 300 paintings, drawings, prints and sculptures have been submitted to The Minories in Colchester by local artists.

Jordan's entry originally featured in an exhibition at the Firstsite gallery. It is now on display for £750.

Mum Vanessa said her son was loving the experience.

Jordan is now in the process of organising an Autism Awareness event in Colchester next year.

He is looking for sponsors and businesses to get involved with raising awareness.

Anyone interested can contact Nessa Shults on Facebook.
