The Mercury Theatre’s fun packed, musical, summer family show starts this weekend. Running throughout the holidays I’m sure it will be an appropriate swansong production for outgoing Artistic Director Daniel Buckroyd, who introduced these theatrical delights when he arrived six years ago.

Comedy Troupe Stapled to a Chicken return with a horror comedy show to slash their way into your hearts. But don’t be scared, it’s frightfully funny and Stapled to a Chicken will leave you screaming...with laughter.

While his ex-colleagues are on summer recess, the town’s former MP continues working throughout the summer singing the historical praises of his home town. Tour X is Sir Bob’s Roman theme tour with its main feature being walking the entire length of the Roman Circus.

Another former MP, who has found fame on the television screens since giving up public service. She’ll be talking about everything from her stint on Strictly to Big Brother house, and no doubt a little bit of politics too.
