Scorching weather means trains which were planned to stop at Colchester Town Station will not now do so.
As a result of the searing hear, no trains will call at the town centre station until after 6.30pm tonight.
Tickets to the town centre will be valid on Essex First Group buses until 7pm.
Passengers are being urged to use buses 61, 62, 62A, 65 and 66 instead.

The 11:56 Colchester to Walton on the Naze will run direct from Colchester to Hythe
The 12:00 Colchester Town to Colchester will be cancelled
The 12:00 Walton on the Naze to Colchester will run direct from Hythe to Colchester
The 12:20 Colchester to Colchester Town will be cancelled
The 12:35 Colchester Town to London Liverpool Street will start from Colchester
The 12:38 Liverpool Street to Colchester Town will terminate at Colchester
The 12:56 Colchester to Walton on the Naze will run direct from Colchester to Hythe
