A landmark water feature has again been delayed - because it is too wet.
The fountain, which is the centrepiece of Clacton's £3.2 million revamp, will not be ready in time for the biggest event in the town's calendar because it has rained too much.
The £138,000 water feature is already a month behind schedule.
Now it looks set to miss the town's first summer late-night shopping event and the Clacton Air Show.
A leak which was discovered during testing is still being fixed and the fountain still needs to be re-tested.
Planners are blaming wet weather on the delay.
