Radio star Liz Mullen has been unveiled as the new voice of Garrison FM.
Liz is the new breakfast DJ and manager for the Colchester-based station, which broadcasts to the town as well as Wattisham and Bassingbourn.
And she said she was looking forward to the early mornings: "The Garrison has been an integral part of Colchester since Roman times and, in so many ways, we are all part of it.
"This is a radio station for the Army, which all of us can share."
Liz, whose long-running Saturday Breakfast Show was axed by BBC Essex in May, takes over the day-to-day running of the Colchester base of the Army's Garrison Radio Network from next Tuesday, and will be on air for 25 hours a week as Monday to Friday breakfast presenter.
The breakfast show broadcasts on 107FM in the Colchester area from 6am to 11am weekdays.
