S-Club 7 star Bradley McIntosh wowed young fans in Colchester.
The pop star posed for pics and signed autographs ahead of tonight's show for teenagers at Club Valentino.
He chatted with fans in Impressions fashion shop in High Street.
A group of 14-year-old schoolgirls Sir Charles Lucas were thrilled to meet their hero.
Laura Jaggard said: "It's great - I used to be a big fan of S-Club 7."
Pal Sasha Murray said: "Bradley was nice and really polite," and Danielle Duckling added: "He's wicked."
Bradley told the Gazette he was currently working on a new solo album.
"Getting respect as a musician coming out of a band like S-Club is very hard, but the music will speak for itself " he said.
Bradley is in Colchester to help launch a new Club 17-13 night - the brainchild of friend and PR man Ben Pace.
