Snap-happy youngsters have been taking to their local streets to get creative.
The Arty Party workshop in Manningtree got under way on Monday when, cameras in hand, children took pictures of the town.
The children, aged between eight and 16, were capturing picture-perfect images of the surroundings, which will be used as part of a poster-making activity.
The posters will then be put up around the town to promote this year's Manningtree festival.
It is the first time the festival, which runs from September 14 to 23, has included youth arts, despite running for several years.
September 15 will be dedicated as the special youth day.
Yesterday's workshop was the start of a whole week of creative projects for the children, and will go on to include activities including fabric design, printing and making banners.
