Lily Allen
4 Music Stage, Sunday, 6.55pm
LILY Allen treated festival-goers to a uplifting performance at this year's V Festival.
The 21-year-old took to the 4 Music Stage at Chelmsford's Hylands Park on Sunday.
Thousands of people flocked to the stage to hear the North London girl belt out hits from her autobiographical debut album, Alright Still.
Lily, who was performing at V Festival for the second year running, took to the stage with a bright yellow microphone and got off to a flying start with LDN, before captivating the crowds with Everything is Wonderful, Not Big, Little Things and Smile.
The large jubilant crowd enjoyed listening to a chatty, witty, Lily, who told them of her recent plight with US Immigration and her hatred of fashion magazines.
The highlight of the set was Alfie, a song about her younger brother's love of weed, and the overall performance was clearly enjoyed by the crowd which covered a broad spectrum of music-lovers.
