James Morrison
V Stage, Sunday, 2.30pm
Getting the second day of the V Festival at Hylands Park off to a wonderful start, James Morrison steadily worked through the hits that have made him a household name in the last 18 months.
Morrison played V Festival on one of the minor stages last year but due to his popularity, he was asked to perform on the main stage before Hard-Fi.
On Sunday, Morrison's husky voice was a winner as he performed Undiscovered, You Give Me Something and Wonderful World, among others.
He seemed genuinely chuffed to be played at V again, telling the crowd he couldn't believe he was on the main stage.
Don't be surprised if he's headlining a stage next year, as while his performance in 2006 commanded a 10-minute stint on the main stage due to his popularity, on Sunday he was singing to thousands and with his soulful voice and talent, his fan-base is only going to grow.
